Your Book Starts Here

Stop circling the idea. Get clear on the book you are actually meant to write.

You know there is a book in you.

Maybe you have known for years.

You have stories. Expertise. Notes in your phone. Half-written chapters. Voice memos. Google Docs with names like BOOK IDEA FINAL FINAL FINAL 3.

And still...no book.

And let's be real. We know it's not because you can't write. It's because you haven't made the decisions that come before the writing.

What is this book really about?

Who is it for?

What makes your perspective different from the thousands of books already sitting on Amazon?

What belongs in it, and what absolutely does not?

Which of my personal stories must be included, and which ones could instantly discredit me or cause me to lose potential clients, referrals, or my reputation?

And how do you turn everything in your head into a book people will actually want to read?

How long does it have to be?

Do I need a framework, an acronym, etc?

That is exactly what we are going to figure out together.

THE BOOK INTENSIVE

A live, hands-on workshop to turn your idea, expertise, and story into a clear, compelling book concept and roadmap.

This is not a workshop where I spend three hours convincing you that you have a story worth telling. You already know you do!

We are going to build the damn book. Not word by word. Decision by decision.

Because after helping women write, shape, position, and publish their books, I have learned that most people do not get stuck writing the book.

They get stuck trying to figure out which book they should be writing in the first place.

They start too broad. They try to put their entire life into 200 pages.

They choose a topic but never identify the transformation. They write for “everyone.”

Or they spend six months creating chapters before realizing the book does not actually support the brand, business, speaking platform, or impact they are trying to build.

Nope. We are doing the thinking first. Then the writing gets a whole lot easier.

WHAT WE WILL BUILD TOGETHER

During this intensive, I will walk you through the same strategic questions

I use when helping authors turn a pile of ideas into a book with direction.

Your Big Book Idea

We will uncover the central idea your book is really built around. Not every story you have ever lived. Not everything you know. The idea you want your reader to remember, repeat, and associate with you.

Your Reader

Who needs this book? What are they experiencing before they find you? What are they searching for, struggling with, questioning, or trying to become? We will get beyond demographics and identify the person sitting on the other side of the page.

Your Promise

Your book needs to take the reader somewhere. We will identify the shift, realization, result, or transformation your reader should experience because they read it and make sure you understand exactly how to make this happen - even in 100 pages or less.

Your Point of View

This is where good books become memorable books. What do you believe that your industry, audience, or world gets wrong? What have you learned through experience that you are willing to say out loud? Because information is everywhere. Your perspective is the part nobody else can duplicate.

Your Stories

You do not need to tell every story just because it happened. We will identify the stories that create connection, establish credibility, teach something important, and support the bigger message of the book. Your stories should earn their pages. Janet's Storybank Exercise will change your entire perspective on this!

Your Book Structure

We will start turning your ideas into an actual reader journey. What comes first? What needs to be taught before something else makes sense? Where do your stories belong? What chapters naturally emerge? By the end, that swirling pile of ideas starts looking suspiciously like a book.

YOU SHOULD BE IN THIS ROOM IF...

You have been saying “I want to write a book” for longer than you would care to admit.

You have several book ideas and cannot decide which one deserves your attention.

You started writing but lost direction somewhere around Chapter 3.

You have a powerful story but do not want to write a memoir that is simply a chronological retelling of your life.

You are a speaker, coach, consultant, entrepreneur, leader, or expert who wants a book that strengthens your authority.

Or you know you are meant to write something...

but every time you sit down to figure it out, your brain opens 37 tabs.

Bring the tabs. We will sort them out.

WHAT YOU WILL WALK AWAY WITH

By the end of the intensive, you will have clarity around:

• Your strongest book concept
• Your ideal reader
• The core promise of the book
• Your central message and point of view
• The stories and expertise that belong inside it
• A preliminary structure and chapter direction
• How the book connects to your larger brand, business, speaking, or mission
• Your next steps for actually writing it

The goal is not for you to leave inspired.

The goal is for you to leave knowing what you are writing.

There is a difference.

WHY ME?

I am a ten-time published author, speaker, brand strategist, and someone who has spent years helping women find the message hiding underneath all their ideas.

I have taught author workshops, coached aspiring authors, developed books alongside entrepreneurs and experts, and helped women move from:

“I think I want to write a book...”

to

“THIS is my book.”

And frankly, that moment is my favorite part.

I love watching someone realize the book they thought they were supposed to write is not nearly as interesting as the one that has been trying to get their attention all along.

I am not interested in helping you publish more noise.

I want you to write something that sounds like you, means something to the reader, and supports where you are going next.

Confessions of a Modern Muse

YOU DO NOT NEED...

A finished manuscript or a clever title.

A giant audience.

A writing degree (or any degree at all.)

A color-coded chapter outline.

You do not even need to be completely certain what your book is about.

That is why you are coming.

Bring the idea.

Bring the stories.

Bring the expertise.

Bring the messy notes.

We will find the book inside all of it.
